Science Breakfasts With Richard Robinson
The ever popular breakfast discussions held over four mornings outside The Cafe Blu Laguna, this year take a new turn.
Richard says, “Science breakfasts? They're what I live for!
This year I would like to ask everyone;s help to write a book about the story of life on Earth. The book needs to be accurate and simple, so it can be used in primary schools and at home, though if it turns out to be deep, poetical, philosophical, wise and universal as well I won't mind.
So we'll pop through the first 10 billion years of existence in less time than it takes to nibble a flapjack, then cover the first 4 billion years of life on Earth (bacteria, bacteria and more bacteria) in about he same time, then all of animals for nearly all the remaining billion years, then human evolution, then there's a little matter of the history of world civilizations."
