Dave Crawley

David Crawley

Know by many names such as Boy David, The Man with the 12 string and others not really repeatable here.

Has been playing at HESFES for many, many, many, many, years, and once persuaded to leave the sandpit he has produced a very fine gig.

A one man covers band plus a few originals such as the one about that Hamster.

Gyro Chek & the Spongers

Gyro Chek & the Spongers.jpg

Gyro Chek & the Spongers

Mangled Rock mixed with hard core French Disco filtered through a gauze sieve of performance poetry and harmonious thrash folk.

Like nothing, really nothing you have ever heard.

Or possibly ever want to hear again.

What a bunch of scamps these pesky kids are!

DJ Hatrix

DJ Hatrix.jpg

DJ Hatrix

Hatrix smashed the warehouse scene in London in 1987. He was in his element playing the likes of Camden Palace, Bagleys, Hippodrome, Cafe de Palais, HQ and many more. He then moved on to start a successful 2 nightly club night called Soundwaves in Margate.

At this point the rave scene was massive in Kent and he regularly played at Seduction, Dance Dimension, Global Dance, Pure and Deep. He was also heard playing regular spots on a pirate station called Obsession 105.2. The music bug was now biting hard and the next chapter would involve music production. Plastic Solution the record label was formed and over a period of 2 years, 2 E.Ps were released called The Clanger and Blue Wonder.

The response was fantastic, getting played by Kiss FM and even being featured on BBC 2. Hatrix genres are Jungle, House, Funky House, Hip Hop, Breakbeat, Reggae and Hardcore.

Hayley Savage

The Hayley Savage Band

Hayley Savage is a highly talented singer/songwriter backed by a super tight vibrant band.

Her songs certainly get the goospimples going and her voice is stunning.

The music is a mixture of folk and country Americana and one of the best examples of the genre we have heard.

We predict a stunning gig and Hayley is set to be a firm favourite at HESFES.

Spider

Steve in HEZ.jpg

Spider

A DJ of many years experience, though, unfortunately not as a DJ.

Only kidding, Spider did his first HESFES gig back in 2000. We can’t actually remember that far back but he did drink some Tequila and people did dance so it must have been good.

Expect a selection of classic rock, punk and ska plus more Tequila inspired madness.
